The concept of feudalism is an integral part of medieval society. The following worksheet, which contains a very simple graphic is very useful. Students can check their understanding by doing the quick quiz and word search that follows.

Students need to be very familiar with the features of a medieval castle. The following site is both visually attractive and very informative and also good fun.
Think Quest

Another good site which deals with this theme and contains a very nice visual of a motte and bailey castle is also worth investigating. It gives students all the different methods of attacking castles and asks the student to write a paragraph at the end of the exercise.
