Create and publish your own films.

What is the site about?
Eurocreator.com is an educational initiative designed to encourage students and teachers throughout Europe to create at least one piece of media.

Broadband and Flash Player  required to view this site.

Note: The streaming is of variable quality.

Why was it chosen as site of the week?

  • It's an interesting showcase of student and teacher creativty across Europe
  • Audio, video, animation and photo are the main types of media
  • There's a number of genres covered such as comedy, history, education, drama, documentary, action and fiction
  • It's a safe and moderated platform
  • The upload process is clear
  • The teachers' section is important as it contains video tutorials on how to upload material
  • Topics/themes are presented according to latest projects, most viewed and top rated.

How can it be used as an educational resource?

Potentially, this resource may be used in two ways:

1. For support material: students and teachers may use animations and videos to support various areas of the curriculum. See Remember me  and Poppy's Treasure for primary English.

2. A vechicle for showcasing material produced as part of class projects. This production of such material has many educational benefits. Students will learn the skills of film production or animation in addition to integrating it into and learning about a specific area of the curriculum.
