World Cup on Scoilnet

One of our teachers put together a themepage on the FIFA World Cup taking place in South Africa. We mentioned this last week but since added a few links including this fantastic calendar below. (The calendar is also available in Spanish!)

New Geography resources

Some great new resources and reviews were added to Scoilnet in the last week to SESE Geography for Natural Environments. All are PDFs from Met Éireann but spot on. Here are a few:
Rain
How to Read a Weather Chart
Fun Facts on Sunshine  Aimed at younger classes.

Quiz time - New quizzes on Scoilnet

Some new quizzes, including one as Gaeilge, were added to Scoilnet this week.
  Gairmeacha Beatha (5th/6th class)
  The Vikings (3rd/4th class)
Capital Cities of the World (3rd/4th class).
Leprechauns

Scoilnet was recently contacted by the National Leprechaun Museum which has opened in Dublin (Jervis Street). It is a centre dedicated to exploring Irish folklore (and leprechauns) and is very welcoming to school tours. They sent us a PDF worksheet to get us thinking about the little people.
