2024 Our World Irish Aid Award

The 2024 Our World Irish Aid Award theme is ‘Food for Life'.

The 2024 Our World Irish Aid Award theme ‘Food for Life' invites 3rd - 6th class primary school teachers and pupils to learn about the work of Irish Aid in partnership with others in over 130 countries to help progress the United Nations Global Goals for Sustainable Development.

Teachers are supported with:

  • Child-friendly resources, including the Pupil’s Magazine which is filled with case studies, activities and more!

  • Four classroom ready, curriculum-linked lesson plans tailored to 3rd - 4th class pupils and 5th - 6th class pupils.

This year, pupils are invited to submit an entry (or entries!) for our interactive Global Goal Getters online magazines by kids, for kids. The entry format is wide open, and every year pupils submit a range of submissions from quizzes, songs and poems, to posters, plays and crosswords!

The deadline for all entries is March 8th, 2024.

All entries will be considered for the National Final which will be held in Dublin in June, 2024!
