What is the site about?
Dolceta provides lesson plans, fact sheets, resources, tools, quizzes and games that can be used in a range of different curriculum areas - including Business Studies, Home Economics, Mathematics, the Sciences - as well as language classes, citizenship programmes and community education. The resources cover the broad topics of Consumer Education and Financial Literacy. It is an on-line consumer education site with 27 country versions in 21 languages financed by the European Commission.

- The introductory section to each topic contains background information for teachers on the topic as well as relevant curriculum theory
- The website, with all its resources can be used in school or at home, allowing users to have fun while learning
- A new section, Food Safety will be added in 2011.
How can it be used as an educational resource?
As lesson plans and advice are provided, the teacher can see in advance where they can integrate the materials into their learning and teaching. The resources can be used as stand-alone lessons or used as reinforcement and revision of topics covered.
The quizzes and interactive elements will engage pupils whilst providing great learning opportunities.For Transition Year and LCA, it provides a lot of ideas and resources for project based learning.
