What is the site about? The site is the main point of access for the newly launched CSPE resource for teachers of Junior Certificate CSPE who wish to explore the issue of online privacy in the context of online rights and responsibilities. This resource was developed by the NCTE in conjunction with the Irish Council for Civil Liberities and the Citizenship Education Support Team within the Second Level Support Service.
This resource comprises ten lessons which are available in Pdf.
Why was it chosen as site of the week?
It was chosen because: - It is highly relevant in preparation for Safer Internet Day Feb 9th 2010
- It's the only resource of its kind available to CSPE teachers
- Lessons are sequential and are mapped to the ICT and CSPE curriculum
- The resource uses active methods to stimulate discussion such as role play, simulations, brainstorming etc
- Lessons are easy to follow and include clear objectives, methodologies and learning outcomes

This is an offline based resource suitable for teachers to print. It covers the following curricular areas.
