Site of the Week

http://www.topmarks.co.uk/Interactive.aspx?

A wide variety of engaging resources for interactive whiteboards and for varying levels and ages.

What is this site about?

This UK site provides links to useful interactive resources for both primary and post-primary levels in a wide range of subjects. These resources are mainly intended for use with interactive whiteboards and overhead projectors and are frequently updated. The resources are organised by subject, age group and category to make them easy to find.

Why was it chosen as site of the Week?
  • The site provides a wealth of visually engaging resources for use with interactive whiteboards
  • Although it is mapped to the UK curriculum, it is also relevant to the Irish Primary school and Junior Certificate curriculums
  • The site is easily navigated according to subject, age and category
  • It consists of nine different subject areas such as Maths, Literacy, Science, Biology,  Religious Studies, History, Geography, Art and Music
  • Each resource includes a short description and details how it may be used.

How can it be used as an educational resource?

This site is ideally used in teacher-led scenarios in conjunction with an interactive whiteboard. It can also be used in independent learning and for self-guided revision at home.
