Why was it chosen as site of the week?
- The website is easy to navigate, with clear 'tabs' for each section
- There are different sections for Junior Primary, Senior Primary and Secondary schools
- It is a great means of active, investigative and project based learning
- It reinforces and stimulates curiosity and imagination about local and foreign environments
- It informs young people about development issues and mobilises them to bring about global change
- The site is designed with Interactive Whiteboard (IWB) use in mind
- The activities include a 'Drag and Drop' activity, slideshows and video footage
- PDFs of all activities are available to download
- The videos are also downloadable

How can it be used as an educational resource?
As the website is designed with IWBs in mind, it is ideal for a truly integrated lesson on the developing world. The videos set the tone and then the follow-up activities give teachers a wide variety of learning methodologies. All can be used as stand alone lessons or to introduce or reinforce topics.
