Assessment

Spanish Flashcards
A visual test on foods and drinks. Students are presented with the written word in Spanish and a selection of images to choose from.  Sound effects are included for right and wrong answers and students get a grade at the end. Also timed.

Cultural

Recipes
A list of typical Spanish recipes (in English language). Students may cook some of these with their Spanish and Home Economics teacher (cross-curricular).

Cocino del Mundo
Dishes from around the world are explored on this site (in Spanish language). Even Irish recipes are mentioned, such as Lamb Stew and Black Pudding! This can provide a fantastic environment for learning vocabulary from context.

What Valencia - Spanish Meals
Information on the different meals and mealtimes of Spanish culture, making students more aware of the differences between their own and Spanish culture (as per the Junior Certificate Syllabus).
