Great tool to assist with poetry writing. Write poems about certain themes, shapes, school, nature, sports, celebrations.
How it maps to the curriculum
Strand: Writing
Content objective: This resource should enable a child to:
- have regular opportunities to write for himself/herself or for others
Suggestions for use: Select a theme for the class to work on e.g. School (September time), Nature (coming up to a nature walk), Shapes (if doing 2D shapes in Maths), Sports (if coming up to a sports day). Allow each child to print their own poem and recite it to the class. Display the poetry according to the theme.

Suggestions for use: When you have created a shape poem you can print it.
