Prizewinning entry in the 1916 Rising section of the All-Island Schools History competition which explores the live of Paddy Ramsbottom - the man who some claimed fired the first shot of the Easter Rising. It tells the story of how Volunteers from Laois derailed a train at Colt Wood on the eve of the Rising.
