Mark Boggins

Background: I am a primary teacher from Dublin. I taught in Clondalkin for a year in 2011 and I have been happily teaching in Rathcoole since 2012. I completed a degree in Dublin City University in 2002 in computers, enterprise and finance through Irish otherwise known as Fiontar. I worked in ICT and various other positions before studying a Higher diploma with Hibernia college. Funniest ICT moment: I left the computer switched on at school to update one evening and neglected to switch off the amplifier which plays through the whiteboard speakers. Upon entering the school the next morning I was greeted by our caretaker who said he could have sworn that there was an enormous flood in the school when he arrived just before me. The screensaver on my p.c. is a fish tank and I have to admit, it really does sound like a torrent of water cascading down the stairs at our poor caretaker, For self preservation, I have not made that mistake again. Best ICT moment: Being taught by a very capable 7 year old how to make a cartoon using an app on our tablets at school.

Teaches: Primary
in St Joseph Clondalkin
