Video by World Vision Australia explores location of is based around Australia and Timor-Leste. Video highlights how two students can have completely different life - styles depending on where they live or due to poverty. Video identifies sample reasons for poverty along with sample solutions to solving poverty.

Why is it Video of the Month?

  1. This month, Scoilnet focused on poverty as the sustainable development goal. Video of the month reflects on global goal one.
  2. Video encourages students to reflect on how life is different for everyone, some more than others. 
  3. In the video, Ruth & Sam have very different living conditions. Some students may feel empathy towards Ruth. Other students may feel proactive in solving the social inequalities within the world.
  4. After the video, students can reflect on the possible reasons given for poverty along with the possible solutions.
