A 2017 film trailer for the movie, Wasted! The Story of Food. The film is produced through the eyes of famous cheffs. Video encourages students to consider the possibilities of food scraps and how scraps could be transformed into incredible dishes that create a more secure food system.

Why is it Video of the Month?

  1. Both the producer and director involved in creating this documentary are Emmy Award winners.
  2. Documentary sheds light on the pressing issue of food waste.
  3. The film doesn't just focus on the problem of food waste. It also offers solutions.
  4. Solutions explore the idea of making changes to our food production chain and making changes to consumer perspectives on food that would normally to thrown out.
  5. The trailer provides an insight to the entire documentary but can be used as a stand alone clip. The clip will encourage students to think of their own solutions to the problem of food waste.
  6. Focuses on Global Goal 2: No Hunger.
