Easter Monday

Monday, 18 April 2022

Always a day of special historical significance in Ireland as it marks the anniversary of the Easter Rising in 1916.

In the classroom: See how the Irish Times reported the events of Easter 1916 (available through the Schools Broadband Network only). Do a class project on the executed leaders of the Rising.  In Geography class mark the locations of the major events on a map of Dublin.

Alternatively, reflect on Holy Week with Scoilnet featured resources. Access here.
