Display a completely customizable version of Scoilnet.ie search results on your WordPress website. You can narrow the search results to match the level, grade, subject, strand or strand unit you teach or blog about.

  1. Install the Scoilnet Resources either via the WordPress plugin directory, or by uploading the files to your web server (in the /wp-content/plugins/ directory).
  2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
  3. Navigate to the 'Scoilnet Resources' settings page to configure your plugin.
  4. Use the shortcode [getScoilnetResults] in your page, post or widget to display the search results. You can filter the search results by specifying parameters directly in the shortcode: [getScoilnetResults school_level="1" school_discipline="2"]. See full list of parameters.

PHP SDK

We have created a PHP SDK library to allow developers to quickly start developing apps. The SDK provides libraries to simplify the OAuth2 Autentication and search requests.

PHP SDK Demo

We have also created a simple demo website that you can install on your own server. It uses twig as a templating engine and can be used to figure out how to format the curriculum and how pagination works.

Registering for a Scoilnet Account – your first step to contributing and sharing

What you need...

To register for a Scoilnet Account you will need to have a Teaching Council number and a roll number for your school in Ireland.

If you already have a Scoilnet Account then you can sign in here.

The benefits...

A Scoilnet account will allow you to upload your resources or weblinks to Scoilnet as well as enabling you to share and add resources to a favourites listing. Users who have a Scoilnet Account will also be able to fully access Scoilnet Maps and Census@School from home.
