Congratulations to St Paul's Junior National School of Ayrfield, Dublin 13 for winning Scoilnet's Star Site award!
St Paul's JNS website has simple layout with a good use of neutral colour. The homepage is packed full of relevant and important information such as school location, contact details and details about the school. There is also an embedded digital map showing the location of the school. At the top of the homepage, there is a bank of navigation tabs with dropdown menus. These tabs make it easy for visitors to the site to quickly and easily find what they need.
The Home tab in the navigation bank has a drop down menu with links to pages on the Staff, Board of Management and Parent's Association. The News navigation tab contains information on pupils of the month, newsletters as well as the school blog. There is also extensive information contained in the Policies tab on enrolment, code of behaviour and health and safety. The homepage itself also contains the latest news and up to date information for parents as well as quick links to other parts of the site.
Each class in St Paul's JNS has their own dedicated page on the website which showcases news from the class as well artwork and activities. Some of the topics covered range from Halloween costumes to artwork to science fun. Each page contains a photo slider with high quality digital photos to display the pupils' achievements.
St Paul's JNS website is well maintained, kept up to date and is easy to navigate. The site is welcoming, easy to use and provides an excellent means of communication between the school, parents and wider community. Well done on winning Scoilnet's Star Site award!
