Sukkot is a seven day Jewish festival sometimes known as the Feast of Booths or the Feast of Tabernacles. Sukkots were like huts that the Jewish people lived in after being freed from slavery in Egypt. It is common now for Jewish people to eat their meals in sukkots at the back of their homes.
In the classroom: Learn more about the Jewish religion on World Book Online. Research the traditions associated with Sukkot. In Geography class take a look at the geographical distribution of the Jewish population. In History class explore the Holocaust.
