Most pupils will be involved in the local GAA/hurling club and some pupils will have be involved in some Physical Activity in Primary School. This scheme will apply a holistic approach to the concept of Physical Activity for young people. It will aim to provide activity at a moderate to vigorous level, while teaching about the importance of MVPA for 60 minutes every day to gain the associated health benefits. It reflects the syllabus in that it recognises the ‘physical, emotional, mental and social dimensions of human movement.’
