Explores the role played by Fred Crawford in the event known as the 'Larne gunrunning'. Traces Crawford's dealings with the German gun manufacturer Bruno Spiro and his various attempts to arm the Ulster Volunteer Force as they reacted to the possibility of Home Rule.
