School level

The oral component of assessment will include a general conversation, based on the syllabus content. Below is a list of theme areas from the syllabus which may arise in the course of the general conversation in the oral exam. Included resources are examples of questions, examples of answers, flashcards and peer assessment sheets. Students should practice speaking French as much as possible and should be able to respond to these sample questions in their own words.

Students could use the digital tool Audacity to record and reflect on their French conversational skills.

  • Communication

Percentage Allocation for Speaking:

25%  -  Higher Level
20%  -  Ordinary Level
