# 6th May

## 6th May: Resources for Teaching Bernoulli Trials

### Learning Outcomes

Students should be able to:

• Recognise a Bernoulli trial and understand the conditions required to satisfy a Bernoulli trial
• Calculate probability by applying the Binomial Distribution Formula
• Solve problems involving reading probabilities from the normal distribution tables

Student Activity
SEC Exam Questions

### Teacher Resource

This probability and statistics teacher resource deals with binomial and normal distribution. The use of combinations to solve problems which may be modeled on Bernoulli Trials are shown. The application of normal distributions for making statements about a population is looked at, including the use of standard normal tables and z-scores.
