Suggestions for use: This is a fun activity to try as a class-based activity on the IWB. Be aware that if you pick Europe there are 46 countries to choose from. And if you pick N America you will have to place all the islands of the Caribbean. But it works really well and looks great.

Suggestions for use: Activity 1: Split the class into small groups and give each a worksheet with one of the Global Explorers featured countries written
on it. Find out: a) where in the world their country is, b) the capital city of that country, c) what the country’s flag is. They should add the information to their worksheet. <br>
Activity 2: Read the Real life story linked with each country and fill out a page divided in 4 as follows: In box 1 write factual information about the story. In box 2 write good oints/advantages seen in the story. In box 3 write bad points/disadvantages seen in the story. In box 4 they should write their feelings/emotional response to the story. <br>
Activity 3: Report Back to other groups what they found.
