Gearóid O’Sullivan, or O’Súilleaváin (28 Jan 1891 - 25 Mar 1948)

He raised the tricolour over the G.P.O. in Easter Week 1916. O'Sullivan was an Irish teacher, an Irish language scholar, a high ranking army officer, a barrister, and a T.D. from 1927 to 1937. At the age of 25, he was present in the G.P.O, as aide-de-camp to Sean MacDermott.
