  • become familiar with some aspects of the lives of people and especially of children in Ireland, Europe and other areas

Suggestions for use: Project work on Australia. Pupils could be guided to this website to find out facts for their project. Gifted and Talented pupils could be asked to compare countries.

This resource should enable a child to:

  • appreciate ways in which people in different areas depend on one another and on people living in other parts of the world
  • become familiar with some aspects of the lives of people and especially of children in Ireland, Europe and other areas

Suggestions for use: Print and laminate the cards. Provide the class with one cad each/ one between two. The class must walk around and read facts to other students, trading card if their card is better. Pupils must record as many facts as they can in their copy. Feedback as a class.
