Content objective:
This resource should enable a child to:

  • become aware of forms of transport and transport routes in the locality and in a contrasting part of Ireland
  • explore, investigate and come to appreciate the major features of the built environment in the locality and in a contrasting part of Ireland

Suggestions for use: Use the task cards to get pupils critically thinking about the area in which they need to build their house and aspects they need to consider when designing their house. Allow time for pupils to research the area - mountain/ desert/ jungle.
