Lab Safety & PPE - Zombie Interactive Animation

An excellent resource for your class to learn about lab safety prior to completing experiments. The animated interactive resource is student friendly with a storytelling cartoon appearance. Students must dress the lab visitor appropriately before entering the virtual lab to uncover the top five lab safety rules. Students then enter a virtual lab and need to amend the hazards.

Suggestions for use: Set the animation as an individual task whereby students follow the instructions within the virtual lab safety tour. A great animation to involve students in their learning of fair test, controls and variables. Animation is very creative whereby students need to imagine that they are working in a scientific lab. Suggestions for use: Resource could be used as a teacher presentation by projecting onto the whiteboard as the writing is visual for board display purposes. Alternatively, the teacher could print out the slides (Set tablets at stations with different slide for each station), the physical equipment can be placed beside the notes so that students can feel, handle and use some of the lab equipment. Students should individually complete the matching exercise with teacher walking around checking student progress on matching exercise.
