ESD to 2030: Launch of Public Consultation

Minister for Education Norma Foley and Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science Simon Harris launched a public consultation on a joint National Strategy for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) to 2030 on April 22 nd , 2021.

ESD to 2030 will build on the achievements of the first National Strategy on ESD 2014-2020, by continuing to strengthen the integration of ESD at all levels of formal education through a whole of institution approach, while further extending opportunities for learners to engage in ESD, as a lifelong learning process, in the non formal and in-formal education sectors, increasing the engagement of young people and local communities.
