The following icons are used in each fundamental movement skill activity description to outline opportunities for linkage across PE strands.

The activities to develop and consolidate the fundamental movement skills are differentiated across the three books.
- Book 1 activities are generally aligned to the infant classes,
- Book 2 activities are generally aligned to the junior/middle classes,
- Book 3 activities are generally aligned to middle/senior classes.
