Welcome to the PDST Primary STEM Science Week 2022 page. We are delighted to partner with Scoilnet again to bring you fun and enjoyable activities. This year the Primary STEM team aim is to spotlight how to infuse the playful nature of story with the Design and Make Process in Science. 

Designing and making involves pupils using and applying their scientific skills and knowledge to practical tasks. Solutions to real world problems can be explored through the design and make process.

We have selected five books to demonstrate how a story can be used to provide a context for a Design and Make activity. The design and make process of Explore, Plan, Make and Evaluate, as outlined in the image is encouraged.
