Day of Peace

  • UN Flag

Thursday, 21 September 2023

International Day of Peace was brought in by the United Nations for people to think about the ideals of peace. The UN invites all nations and people to honour a cessation of hostilities during the Day, and to otherwise commemorate the Day through education and public awareness on issues related to peace.

In the classroom:  Mark International Peace Day (21st September) by making peace cranes! Find the story of the peace cranes and instructions in the free teaching resource manual by Concern Worldwide.
