International Day of Tolerance

Sunday, 12 November 2023

An International Day for Tolerance can serve as an annual occasion for tolerance education as well as for wider social and political reflection and debate on local and global problems of intolerance.

In the classroom: Gandhi was a historical figure known for his tolerance. Can you name any others? For Post-Primary teachers: Teaching Tolerance website contains ideas for addressing the issue of tolerance in class.
