World Humanitarian Day

World Humanitarian Day is a time to recognize those who face danger and adversity in order to help others. The day is also an opportunity to celebrate the spirit that inspires humanitarian work around the globe.

In the classroom: Ireland has a great history in giving humanitarian aid to peoples around the world. Find out more about the NGOs (non governmental agencies) that do such great work - GOAL and Trócaire are just two, but what others are there?
