Africa Day 2017 Short Story and Poetry Competition

Africa Day 2017 will be celebrated on Sunday 21 May. This is a competition is a collaboration between Irish Aid and The Irish Times.  Entrants are asked to submit a short story or poem with an African theme, set either in Ireland or Africa. There are 3 categories

Primary School (max 250 words)

Secondary School (max 1,000 words)

Adult (max 2,000 words)

The closing date for submissions is Wednesday, May 3rd The winning entries will be published on www.irishtimes.com on Sunday, 21st May and winners will receive a selection of books to the value of €50 each. There will also be a photographic presentation at The Irish Times.
