This is a set of 12 book that young readers can read along with. The text is read in an American accent and if you prefer you can mute your device before beginning the book. The books are based on basic concepts such as numbers and the senses. The 12 book follow a scarecrow (Trek) and his friends as he travels around the world.
Here is a set of 48 level readers, there are 12 available for each level (A,B, C and D). There is audio associated with text in an American accent, you can however mute your device to avoid this read-along feature if you wish. This resource can be used for individual or group reading tasks and lessons.
Within the search facility in WorldBook Online you can search any topic and refine the results based on the child's reading ability using the Lexile Measure Search Facility. When an article is open click on the contents book on the top right of the screen and this will display the Lexile Measure. This is a useful tool especially when the class are undergoing project work.
