Media and the 6 Nations Rugby Championship

Should you wish to download a copy of this presentation please click here.

This presentation includes links to newspaper articles as far back as 1921 about rugby games between Ireland and the other 6 Nations Rugby teams. These articles can be used to describe the style of writing, they can be compared with current writing about the matches or be used as inspiration in writing an article about a more recent match in the 6 Nations. There are other presentations about the RBS 6 Nations which can be used to give the class some background about the championship. This can be a child led/peer led activity, the teacher requires little to no prior knowledge on the topic, they can just facilitate the lesson.
