We, the children of St. Bridgid’s National School, Duagh, speak in the name of Ireland and all of its citizens as we proclaim the following vision for the future generations of Ireland:
We declare that the Irish Government, as elected by the Irish people, will provide a better health care system, including mental health services access, for all citizens, by making use of all available beds and increasing hospital capacity and efficiency.
We will attempt to decrease the rate of global warming by reducing the amount of
greenhouse gases sent into the air.
As a nation we believe that people with disabilities should be treated fairly with equal access to education, job opportunities and everyday needs.
We declare that migrants, wherever they come from, be afforded the same conditions and opportunities as Irish people already have in this country.
We, as young adults, believe that all involved in gangland crimes and drugs should be helped and supported at a young age rather than being judged.
We, as the future generation of Ireland, would like to encourage the government to recognise the potential for entrepreneurship in Ireland.
Additional support should be given to farmers, especially those in the west of Ireland, to ensure living conditions are maintained and improved.
As the future leaders of this country, the children of Ireland ask for a referendum for all Northern Irish people, regardless of their denomination, to ascertain if they want to be a part of a United Ireland.
As the children of Ireland we want to again emphasise our determination to remain a neutral nation in times of war and safeguard our sovereignty.
We wish to see more honour and education shown to the national tricolour of our island as a mark of respect for the brave souls who sacrificed themselves for our freedoms.
Signed on behalf of the children of St. Bridgid’s National School, Duagh, Co. Kerry
