Our Generation's Proclamations

Poblacht Na H Eireann
The Provisional Government of the Irish Republic to the People of Ireland

Irish citizens, on this day of March 15th 2016 we, the children of Mulranny, Co. Mayo, present our new proclamation.

We remember and are grateful to the people who came before us for showing us what it means to be Irish. We acknowledge their bravery in the fight for our freedom. We now encourage the new generation to support the flag and help make this country a better place for the future.

Our village is amazing and we are honoured to live in such a beautiful place. We have pride in our community. The people in the community are hard-working and respectful of each other. We pledge to nurture and develop this community spirit to better our local area and our country. We need to protect our local environment and natural resources. It is now our duty to become considerate and responsible global citizens.

A good education is really important. We always feel happy at school, as it is a safe, calm, welcoming, and friendly environment with great teachers and the best of friends. Every child living in Ireland should have access to an education of this standard regardless of background or ability. We, the children, are the future and deserve a high level of education where we can bloom and prosper.

Every Irish citizen has the right to clean water, fresh food, fair employment, and a roof over their head.  In the land of Céad Míle Fáilte, where Irish people have a reputation for being a friendly, caring, and generous people, we pledge that we will continue this generosity in supporting the less fortunate in our society and the wider world.

Ireland should unite in kindness and never judge someone by their race, religion, gender or colour of their skin. We are all unique; this must be celebrated as we believe that Ireland is a country for everyone, regardless of their personal preferences or ideals.  We must always treat people the way we want to be treated.

We will continue to promote and cherish our rich Irish culture- its world famous literature, music, dance, sport and mother tongue.  We are a creative and talented nation who have always excelled on the world stage. May this artistic nature and creativity be encouraged and cultivated for generations to come.

These are our hopes and dreams for the future.

“Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.”
