Our Generation's Proclamations

Poblacht Na H Eireann
The Provisional Government of the Irish Republic to the People of Ireland

This is our proclamation for the next 100 years. Since the proclamation in 1916, many things have changed. Our society, culture and habits have changed. We hope that all of Ireland and her citizens will live in peace and happiness for the next 100 years and even longer.

The Irish Republic and all people who live in the state are entitled to be treated equally and shown respect no matter what their religion, beliefs, colour, background, gender or language. We have the right to freedom of speech and the right to voice our beliefs and opinions peacefully. If you respect other people’s beliefs they will in return respect yours.

We believe every Irish citizen is entitled to a good and fair health system. Every patient in the hospital should receive a bed. People under 18 and over 60 should receive free medical care. Parents should promote healthy eating and exercise. By doing this we hope Ireland will become a fit, healthy and fair country.

Everybody in Ireland is entitled to have a home, food and water. Children should have somebody to look after them until they are 18 years of age. Everybody who comes to Ireland to live has the right to a good standard of living and has the right to a warm and comfortable home. Ireland and the government of Ireland will protect each Irish citizen and those who choose to live in Ireland. Ireland and her government will strive to protect all people on the island of Ireland from all unnecessary dangers that they may face.

This proclamation is made in 2016 with the hope that it will last for many years to come. Ireland has changed in many ways over the last 100 years and we hope that she will continue to change for the betterment of her citizens. We would like to see all Irish citizens return home from abroad. The Republic of Ireland guarantees equal rights and equal opportunities to all its citizens, and it is determined to strive for the happiness and prosperity of the nation and of all the people who live here, for many years to come.
