Our Generation's Proclamations

Poblacht Na H Eireann
The Provisional Government of the Irish Republic to the People of Ireland

To the people of Ireland.  In the name of all those who built our Republic, and inspired by the Proclamation of 1916, the values of the Gospel and by the ideas of the French Revolution, we now demand a truly equal society for all our citizens.

Having seen many of our fellow countrymen sleeping on streets, living in poor conditions and in need, we call on everyone in Ireland, those born here, those born abroad and returned emigrants to play their part in fighting for a new Republic where everyone in Ireland is treated equally.

We declare the right of all those living in Ireland, irrespective of age, wealth, physical or mental ability, faith, colour, origin or appearance to a house, a job, sufficient money, a good education, good health care and equal justice. We know that this is possible and we believe it is worth fighting for.

We demand a government that works honestly for the people of the Republic of Ireland and puts the well-being of the people before business interests.  We believe that everyone has the right to a home, and that the wealth of the country should be put into housing all our citizens before anything else. We insist that no one should ever betray this ideal through fraud, greed or selfishness, and we urge all our citizens to do the same.

Until we see that these ideals are all followed in our country, we will watch and we will take action at the ballot box when necessary.  As true Republicans, we promise to do our very best to work for the new, fairer and better Republic of Ireland, whenever and wherever we can throughout our lives.
