FÍS Film Deadline Approaches

June 30th is the deadline for submissions to this year's FÍS Film Awards. The film project website contains some useful last minute questions.

This year there are two additional categories of film marking the Decade of Centenaries and the Active School Flag projects. If you are in need of some last minute inspiration check previous year’s winners in the Film Archive and remember there are some excellent teacher resources that include video tutorials, teacher’s diary and action research.

The official website has some key questions to ask before finally submitting your entry:

  1. Is your film less that 5 mins duration including credits?
  2. Is the audio on your film clear and in sync?
  3. Does your CD load in a pc, laptop or Mac? if you are having problems with this consider uploading the film to Vimeo and including the link on the entry form.
  4. Is your entry form completed and storyboards included if applicable.
  5. Have you collected and retained all the necessary parental consent forms.
