Fís Post-Primary

Building on the success of many years co-operation on the FÍS film in schools primary education project, the Institute of Art, Design and Technology and the Professional Service for Development of Teachers have come together again to deliver a number of film making and digital storytelling projects and resources at post-primary level.

Teachers can visit the Fís Post Primary website to embrace film making and digital storytelling as a means of communicating stories.

Sections to the website include;

  • Discovering Documentary - Example of films from four post-primary schools who participated in the exploratory 'Discovering Documentary' pilot project.

  • North - South Stories - Example of films from the North–South Digital Stories project called ‘Different Lenses’ which encourages post-primary pupils to explore history narratives on the island of Ireland through the medium of digital literacy.

  • Film Making Kit - Lessons on film making which provide guidance, tips and information to get you started with your film making or digital storytelling project.

Registering for a Scoilnet Account – your first step to contributing and sharing

What you need...

To register for a Scoilnet Account you will need to have a Teaching Council number and a roll number for your school in Ireland.

If you already have a Scoilnet Account then you can sign in here.

The benefits...

A Scoilnet account will allow you to upload your resources or weblinks to Scoilnet as well as enabling you to share and add resources to a favourites listing. Users who have a Scoilnet Account will also be able to fully access Scoilnet Maps and Census@School from home.
