Organisations offering Support

Scoilnet has reached out online to teachers and organisations to share their support and resources with one another. Scoilnet would like to highlight a number of these supports who have contacted Scoilnet using this online space.

These highlights were sourced through the Scoilnet Contact Us Form from outside organisations who do not have a Scoilnet Account.

  • PDST Distance Learning:
    This page of curated content has been developed to support schools and teachers engaged in distance learning in order to provide continuity to pupils/students.
  • PDST Technology in Education:
    During school closures these tools provide schools with options to continue to support teaching and learning for their pupils & students, including project based learning, exam’ support etc.
  • HelpMyKidLearn.ie
    Unsure what to do with your kids this week?
    Check out HelpMyKidLearn.ie – a survival guide for parents. It includes general information, useful tips and hundreds of fun activities that can be done in the home or outside. And best of all, the activities will help children to learn without them even realising it.
  • Oxford Owl
    Oxford Owl has an ebook library with over 250 books in it and offers free access to teachers and parents once you create an account.
  • Epic
    Teachers can sign up for free access. Teachers can then set up student accounts where they can assign books or track what students have read by adding students to your Student Roster on Epic.
  • Education for Sustainable Development Directory
    Directory of organisations offering educational resources to teachers and students.
  • STEM Directory
    The STEM directory highlights well-known accomplished STEM repositories in Ireland, Europe and Internationally.
  • CareersPortal
    CareersPortal is available to support Senior Cycle Career Guidance research and TY, LCA and LCVP course work. Every student can set up their own FREE Career File tag courses and careers they are interested in and use a number of self-assessment tools which will lead to every student being able to print an individual 8 page Career Report.

Registering for a Scoilnet Account – your first step to contributing and sharing

What you need...

To register for a Scoilnet Account you will need to have a Teaching Council number and a roll number for your school in Ireland.

If you already have a Scoilnet Account then you can sign in here.

The benefits...

A Scoilnet account will allow you to upload your resources or weblinks to Scoilnet as well as enabling you to share and add resources to a favourites listing. Users who have a Scoilnet Account will also be able to fully access Scoilnet Maps and Census@School from home.
