It's time once again for the annual Team Hope Shoebox Appeal where Irish people are invited to get involved to help cheer the lives of needy children in Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union and Africa.
Team Hope is aiming to deliver 200,000 gift-filled shoeboxes, just in time for Christmas, into the hands of children whose families typically live on less than €1 per day. For many, it is the only Christmas present they will receive, turning what will otherwise be just another day into something special. There's an ever-growing need so every box counts.
Simply root out a spare shoebox, wrap with Christmas paper and fill with gifts for a child to write (items for school), wash (small hygiene items), wear (small clothing items) or wow (a treat). Attach €4 to cover transport costs and bring it to any of the 300 drop off points across the country before November 10th. For more information on how to get involved and for a list of drop off points visit www.teamhope.ie
