Cork University Hospital Charity are excited to introduce Type Onesie Day, a new educational programme and fundraising initiative designed to support children living with Type 1 diabetes. Organised by CUH Charity in collaboration with CUH Paediatric Diabetes Team, this campaign aims to raise vital funds for the Paediatric Diabetes Service at Cork University Hospital, while raising awareness about this life-altering condition affecting thousands of children across Ireland.
Teachers are invited to educate on and raise awareness about Type 1 diabetes, information packs specifically targeted at younger audiences have been designed and will be made available to everyone who signs up.
More than 2,500 children in Ireland are affected by this lifelong condition, and all funds raised will support the Paediatric Diabetes Service at Cork University Hospital. By taking part, students will learn about diabetes through our age-appropriate resources and show support by wearing onesies or pyjamas to school.
It’s a great opportunity to educate, have fun, and make a real difference.
