This interactive colourful activity booklet on space is an excellent opportunity to enable your students to become imaginative explorers of our universe. Students are guided through new terminology and words by using wordsearchs, jokes, facts, data, research and imaginative drawing spaces to capture their ideas as they appear in their heads.
This type of activity directly builds on students cognitive skills in an initiative manner by linking to other subjects.

Suggestions for use: This resource is set out in a step- step sequential manner to follow within your lesson linking outer-space to imaginative writing skills; introducing research to students with the newspaper article/ internet research so that students can record today's affairs, Students then independently read article on the sun where students cross out the incorrect words. Teacher to introduce the word constellation and students then make their own constellations. Discover the planet facts using the whiteboard projection, then allow time for students to design their own made-up planet while also imaginatively writing about the life on their planet. Wordsearch provided on new space terms, jokes about outer-space along with a challenge for students to create their own jokes. Homework; students need to interview an old person about the topic "first man on the moon" (primary resource).
