A very visual and student friendly resource to use when learning about the solar system. The animation allows students to interact with the solar system planets by clicking on each planet to learn more about the planet. A way of remembering the order of the planets is then explained and students must interact with the animation in placing the planets in the correct order. A quiz on the planets is located at the end of the animation with three basic questions.
Strand: 02. Earth and Space
Strand unit: 03. Compare Earth with Moon & Other Planets
Suggestions for use: Use the animation in class by projecting onto the whiteboard. Alternatively, set a tablet up with the resource active on the tablet. Students can use the animation as a research tool in learning more about the solar system when completing a project on the solar system.
