Why do Some Parts of Earth have Longer Daylight than Others? - Link to Seasons

Added: 15 Sep 2016 Contributor: Scoilnet Resource type: Simulation

The seasons is a difficult concept to grasp, however this animation is the one that caused the light bulb moment in my mind. An informative animation introducing students to the latitudes. Students can explore the answer to the above driving question by observing the animation, discussing the positions and highlighting the latitudes to notice the angle of 23.5 in the rotation. Students can also adjust the months from January right through to Decemember.
