A fun visual interactive animation whereby students learn about the American presidential election campaign by playing the debating game and choosing a party to represent. Students will learn the issues that both parties (Republicans and democratic stand for) Game can be differentiated based on elementary, middle or high school.

Content objective:
This resource should enable a child to:

  • argue points of view from the perspective of agreement and disagreement through informal discussion and in the context of formal debates
  • discuss issues of major concern

Suggestions for use: Allow students to play the game individually. Class discussion on republic and democratic. Students put hands up to indicate the party they represented in the game. Set class into groups based on parties to discuss the issues raised further. Have a class election based on the presenters from each group.
