Model You Own Human Circulatory System

Added: 02 Apr 2019 Contributor: Science on Stage Resource type: Activity

Allow students to play the part of the blood and simulate the distribution of oxygen and the removal of carbon dioxide around the circulatory system. This fun and interactive exercise not only promotes understanding of the circulatory system but also promotes positive wellbeing in the classroom.

How it maps to the curriculum

SC
Biology

Strand: 3. The Organism

Strand unit: 3. Transport & Nutrition

Suggestions for use: The activity is best carried out after the circulatory system has been introduced and the students have some familiarity with the circulatory system. Allow students to work in pairs to discover the part of the blood and specific gases around the circulatory system.
